4 ingredients goodnessglows chocolate porridge
Is it dessert? Or is it breakfast. Fancy trying something different for breakfast? Not your regular porridge, even though porridge is divine and super nourishing, I always like to mix it up a little. Takes the exact same time to prepare like your regular porridge you make in the morning but chocolatey. Only 4 ingredients, of course this doesn’t include adding toppings which you can be as adventurous as you like. A few examples that I ALWAYS add on my chocolate oats is, almond butter, some type of nut and raspberries. Another Win win is its always a hit with kids!!
Ingredients:
Serves 2, if you are preparing for one just half my measurements below.
80g Jumbo porridge oats
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup
150g plant-based milk of your choice (I switch between oat & almond milk)
Steps
Step 1- place your oats, cacao powder, maple syrup and plant-based milk into your saucepan over a medium heat. Keep stirring and when starting to bubble slightly, lower heat and continue to stir until super creamy. I don’t like my porridge too thick, so I usually add a splash more milk to loosen it up but go with your preference.
Step 2 – Once cooked serve up and add some delicious toppings. I always drizzle some almond butter on all my porridge, another good combination with the chocolate is pistachio nuts or hazelnuts. Enjoy lovelies 😊
